Brooklyn Org is accepting proposals for projects that address pressing local concerns and strengthen nonprofit collaboration, with up to $25,000 in funding per partnership. We especially invite proposals for projects that address key themes from our 2025 People’s Pulse survey, including affordability, public safety, and mental health.

Each year, five nonprofits are selected to receive the $100,000 ‘no strings attached’ Brooklyn Org Spark Prize. The Prize is named for and informed by our mission to spark change for a fair and just Brooklyn.

We fund organizations that advance racial justice and provide critical resources to communities across Brooklyn. All eligible Brooklyn-serving organizations are invited to apply for general operating support. Applications are accepted at any time; funding decisions are made twice per year. Rolling* Deadline: Microgrants From Brooklyn Org

*Next Cycle Due May 31, 2026

To strengthen the nonprofit sector of Brooklyn and support organizations at various stages of growth, Brooklyn Org is now accepting applications for microgrants. This funding will support organizations not yet eligible for our Strategic Grants or other prizes due to budget requirements; microgrants will support community-based organizations with budgets of under $100,000.

Community and neighborhood-based groups can now apply anytime of the year for general operating support microgrant funding of up to $10,000 for one year. Applications are accepted at any time; funding decisions are made twice per year. The next funding decision deadline is May 31, 2026.
